Postal Worker Admits to Stealing Over 6,000 Greeting Cards filled with $$

MILWAUKEE —  Resident began to suspect something was wrong and many complained to the U.S. Postal Service they were not receiving cards: graduation, wedding, birthday and sympathy cards in zip codes 53213 and 53226.  Postal Service tracked down the mail carrier for those areas and the timeline.  The postal carrier admitted to stealing any gifts, checks and/or cash inside the cards.  Ebony Lavonne Smith, 20, of Milwaukee pleaded guilty to theft on Sept.12 and will be sentenced at a later date.    MORE STORY: HERE
