Hats off to our Best Band in the Land this week, The Farmersville “Farmer Pride” Marching Band!
103 members strong performing at many different events including pep rallies, football games, community events, and marching competitions.
Under the direction of head director Scott Cross, assistant director Bradley Arledge, percussion instructor Clint Cox, and color guard instructor Kyla Cross, the band has experienced a great deal of recent success. Past awards include advancing to the UIL 3A state marching contest in 2015 for the first time in school history finishing in 11th place. In 2017, the band was named champions of the UIL Area B Marching Contest and again competed in the 3a state marching contest coming home with the second place silver medal. The Marching Band has also received numerous best in class awards at various invitational contests.
The Farmer Pride Marching Band would like to thank the Farmersville ISD administration for their continued support of the band program, as well as all of the parents, family, and friends that make the success of the band possible.
