Celebrating Friday Night Lights in North Texas

Time to shine the spotlight on our High School football teams and High School Marching Bands…

This week’s Best Band in the Land is the Melissa Mighty Cardinal Band, 120 members strong and under the direction of Director of Bands Jerry Whorton, assisted by Aaron Dugger, Matt Filosa, Taylor Tucker David Landry, Justin Madrid, and Matt Malone.

The Mighty Cardinal Band placed 5th in the Sounds of Fall Marching Contest in Princeton recently, the Colorguard was Grand Champion, and the Percussion won FIRST PLACE in the Class 4A competition.

Enjoy your $100 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card because American runs on Dunkin’ and so does the BEST BANDS in North Texas!

If you’d like to nominate your favorite high school marching band, click on our link on the main page for Best Band in the Land.

We salute the Midlothian Panthers for our #WolfFridayNightLights, head coach Doug Wendel and some of his varsity team will be featured in an interview at 7:33 this morning, followed by a special remix of Kenny Chesney’s Boys of Fall with coach Wendel and his players.

Proud to support Friday Night Lights in North Texas!
