THINGS THAT I HOPE YOU FIND INTERESTING ABOUT ME:

FAVORITE COUNTRY STAR:
George Strait(nobody makes singing sound so simple)

FAVORITE FOOD: I love ALL types of food(even Sushi) but my all time favorite food is still a good pizza!

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: For Mexican it's Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Wolf.  For Steaks it's Nick and Sam's in Dallas.  For Pizza I love the Italian Cafe which is close to where I live.

FAVORITE PLACE TO WATCH A CONCERT: I always love seeing a wide variety of shows at the Granada Theater.  It has the coolest vibe of any venue and the staff is dedicated to providing an enjoyable evening.

FAVORITE PRO SPORTS TEAM: Dallas Cowboys--I'm a proud season ticket holder for 3 years now.

FAVORITE COLLEGE TEAM: TCU Horned Frogs--they had another INCREDIBLE season this year. Go Frogs!!!!

FAVORITE TV SHOW: Paul Koffy got me hooked on "The Deadliest Catch." I love that show because it's interesting on so many different levels.

MY DOG: I'm not married.  I don't have any kids so my dog "Boomer" is my companion at home.  "Boomer"(his name has nothing to do with the Oklahmoa Sooners) is a 12 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix who is the life of the party wherever he goes.  You can see pics of Boomer here in the pics section.

OTHER JOBS I'VE HAD: I was a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army for three years at Ft. Sill, OK. Hard to believe they'd trust a guy like me with nukes but they did.

Hi...I apologize for not keeping up better with "blogging" on the Wolf Website. I have to be honest I'm not used to this and really don't feel that there are that many interesting things to talk about. However, the Wake Up With the Wolf Show has helped me get on Facebook and Twitter. I have to admit it's been very enjoyable connecting with old friends I grew up with in Facebook and "following" and "being followed" in Twitter now have a whole new meaning. You can find me as "Mark Phillips" in Facebook and on Twitter it's "MarkPhillips995".......

As some of you know, I'm a TCU Horned Frogs fan. The Frogs don't get the same kind of TV exposure that the Longhorns, A & M and even this year Texas Tech get. In this BCS crazy world, I think it's a tremendous tribute to Coach Gary Patterson and his team that they can be recognized as the 7th best college football team in the country. With their only losses coming to # 2 ranked Utah and # 5 Oklahoma(ahh there is justice with the Sooners finishing behind Texas in the final poll), the Frogs have shown that you don't need to be in the Big 12 to be an outstanding football program. It's always a thrill walking down "Frog Alley" before a game and seeing the purple pride on display at Amon Carter Stadium. Plus with Coach Patterson under contract for five more years things are looking bright for Frog Fans! Congratulations also to the fans of the Longhorns and Texas Tech who both had outstanding seasons. It was truly an exciting and enjoyable year for college football here in the Lone Star State.

As I drove past Texas Stadium Sunday Afternoon I couldn't help being saddened that it wasn't hosting a Cowboys playoff game. This final season at Texas Stadium ended in extreme disappointment. I live near Texas Stadium and everyday when I see it I can't help but reflect on the many great memories that it has provided me since early childhood. Even though it's scheduled to be demolished in the near future, it's a true sports landmark that's known throughout the world. Farewell old friend. Thanks for representing the Cowboys so well. It's a shame you couldn't go out with more glory....
