A Day in Music - February 20th
4:36PM February 19, 2013

Today in country music history:

1999 - Trace Adkins played his first concert since breaking his ankle and having surgery for tendon damage. Adkins refused to follow his doctor's orders to sit during the concert. He walked around from one end of the stage to the other so that the entire audience could see him.

1981 - Dolly Parton had the number one single with "9 to 5." It was the theme from the movie of the same name, which Dolly also starred in.
