Lisa Taylor moved to the Wake Up With The Wolf Show in the mornings from LA, but she’s definitely not a newcomer to the Lone Star State. In the ‘80s, she lived and worked in San Antonio. “Even then, there was some kinda draw to Texas. I remember thinking that Texas was a place where I could really feel at home. I remember learning to water ski on one of the lakes in Dallas, and the idea of spending some time on the Dallas area lakes is something I'm really looking forward to doing with my son."
Lisa began her radio career in High School while growing up in a tiny town in West Virginia. Her love for acting eventually led her to New York where her work in theater and television allowed her to introduce and work with some of the biggest celebrities and biggest names in Country Music.
“I remember ‘Country Takes Manhattan,’ a whole week of amazing country concerts all over NYC. Dolly took my hand backstage before her performance at Carnegie Hall, and seeing that I was a little nervous to interview such a superstar said, ‘It’s ok, honey…you’re gonna do just fine!’”
One of Lisa’s most important duties has involved raising funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and her interaction with Genesis Women's Shelter in Dallas. Having worked as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA Volunteer) for at-risk kids, she hopes to bring attention to this important role in a child’s life in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, too.
