Hey there! I’m Jake Daniels and this a quick summary of who I am for your reading enjoyment!

I was born and raised in Mesquite, home of the Mesquite Rodeo and the biggest broadcast tower on the face of the Universe! I went to Poteet High School via stops at Beasley Elementary and Vanston Middle School. I was tall, skinny and nerdy. I am still tall, skinny and nerdy. I just dont get beat up as much these days. Well, in a sense. I do get beat up for concert tickets from my friends but thats another story.

I’m a sports guy. I’ll talk your face off about the Mavericks and if they are doing bad I will yell at you about the Mavericks. I love the Rangers despite all of their struggles the last 30 years. I like the Cowboys and I am a huge LSU Tiger fan! Geaux Tigers! I also think Bobby Knight is awesome!

My radio career started in my room when I was 7 years old. I had a tape recorder and a record player. I played the theme song to Ghostbusters continuously, so I guess it was, “40 minutes of continuous commercial free Ray Parker Jr” with fake phone calls from myself every hour. My catch phrase was “You Wild and Crazy Fans!”

Many years later I found myself as a student at 88.5 FM KEOM in Mesquite. Upon graduation from high school, I went to Stephen F. Austin only to flunk out and ended up washing 18 wheelers. I moved back home and landed a part time job with 1061 KISS FM, which is where I caught my big break. Since then I have made stops in Tyler, Tx., Baton Rouge.La.(my second home!), Pensacola, Fl. and San Antonio.

I’ve worked in the Top 40 format, Country format and the Rock format. They all have very unique qualities but I like the Country format the best because of the sincerity and passion that the listeners have towards the music and station!

I love Glorias, Chilis, Whataburger, Bobs Steak and Chophouse and Kona Grill... Basically I love food!

Also in my spare time I like to work out, play my guitar, write blogs, goof off in front of my video camera, burn food and sleep! Boy do I love to sleep! As a matter of fact.................zzzzzzzzz
