This weekend, Tony Dungy will officially become a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Coach Dungy for more than two seasons when he was the head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Far more than a great football mind, Coach Dungy was…IS a great man. He brought something to the Buccaneers that was missing not only in pro football but all sports, dignity and integrity. He quietly demanded the best from his players and held them to standards that we all should follow.

My proudest moment with Coach Dungy was when he helped launch the All Pro Dads program. I was honored to have been asked to emcee the first APD events at Raymond James Stadium. I am a better person for having known him. We need more Coach Dungy’s in this world.
