The program is called ‘Clean Slate’ and is giving homeless people a chance to turn their life around and that starts with earning money. Many live in homeless shelters and this program cleans the city of trash and pays homeless people a way to earn income. The city pays for it. The shelter runs it. “It is a win-win,” said Presbyterian Night Shelter CEO Toby Owen. Fort Worth is not the only city trying this program out, Los Angeles is moving forward with the plan.
