Des Moines, Washington a 16-year-old was home when he heard people breaking into his house, he ran upstairs and hid in the closet and called 9-1-1, he tried to get his dog (2-yr-old German Shepherd) named Rex to hide with him, but the dog ran downstairs to confront the intruders. The dog was shot 3 times, the burglars ran off when they heard police sirens. The dog survived, and expected to recover.
The teen said: “I just want to thank my dog… If it wasn’t for him, I feel like I wouldn’t be standing here right now.”
