Kelsea Ballerini has had an action-packed week.
Not only did the Tennessee native get inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on April 16, but Kelsea also embarked on her first headlining arena tour, which kicked off on April 11 with support from Brett Young.
âI grew up going to arena shows, and I feel like thatâs always kind of been where I want to live and work up toâand create that world for people to step into for a couple of hours,â says Kelsea. âBrett Young is out with me, and I keep saying, âThe girls are gonna come for him and stay for me, hopefully.â I feel like weâre a good dynamic duo.â
The âdynamic duoâ got to know each other as openers on Lady Antebellumâs You Look Good Tour in 2017.
âWe did something like 56 dates on Lady Antebellumâs tour, and so we got to spend a lot of time together and really hit it off,â says Brett. âSheâs just such a great person, such a great artist, and now to have the opportunity to go out together, I think itâs a great, great match-up. I think we have a lot of similar fans and we just enjoy each otherâs company, and so Iâm a big fan of hers and am looking forward to spending the time.â
