Plano-based JCPenney Files For Bankruptcy

Plano-based JCPenney has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday afternoon.  They become the latest retail casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In their filing, they also announced that they will be closing some stores and will give more specific details in the coming weeks.

Penney joins Neiman Marcus. J.Crew and Stage in filing for bankruptcy.
