ACM New Male Artist Of The Year nominee Travis Denning says his new single has all the element’s he loves about country music.
Travis says, “‘ABBY’ is just one of those songs that I heard and just knew I needed to record. I thought it was so funny and clever and quirky, and (it) just had all these things that I loved about country music and country music songwriting. And I think a lot of people can relate to having that one person that they’re just so happy is no longer part of their life, you know? (ha) I think this is a fun way of kind of looking at moving on from a relationship.”
By the way — it’s not “Abby” as in the name…it’s “A-B-B-Y” as in Anybody But You…
Travis adds, “Ever since I first heard ‘ABBY’ I felt like it would connect with fans, but I had no idea it would have this crazy anthemic life it’s grown into,” he says. “It has by far become the most fun song to play live, and hearing people chant ‘A-B-B-Y’ always fires me up. I’m so excited for it to finally be hitting country radio.”
