America is turning 250 years old —and we believe there’s no better way to celebrate than by honoring the people behind the red, white, and blue. From service members to teachers, first responders to community leaders, this campaign is all about recognizing everyday heroes across DFW.

Cheri Whitelock | High School AP Psychology
When you think of a teacher who changes lives, you think of my wife. As an AP Psychology teacher at Rockwall High School,
she goes far beyond teaching a curriculum—she invests in her students as people. She challenges them to think critically,
encourages them to believe in themselves, and creates a classroom where every student feels valued. Her impact extends well beyond the school day.
Time and again, student athletes have selected her as their honored teacher during Teacher Appreciation Nights,
a testament to the lasting influence she has had on their lives. Current and former students regularly reach out to tell her
how she inspired them, helped them through difficult times, and played a role in the people they have become.
Even outside the classroom, her commitment to serving others never stops. She dedicates countless hours to a student organization
focused on community service, mentoring young people while teaching them the importance of compassion, leadership, and giving back.
Teaching is more than her profession—it’s her calling. She pours her heart into every lesson, every conversation, and every opportunity
to help a student succeed. She exemplifies what it means to be an educator, mentor, and role model, making her exceptionally deserving
of recognition on the 99.5 The Wolf 250 Salutes Honor Wall.
