Tim McGraw Performs A Hit-Filled, Unforgettable Night in Dallas

Country music legend, Tim McGraw, brought his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour to Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on a hot Friday night, delivering a show packed with decades of hits, fan favorites and a few unexpected moments for the Texas sized, Texas crowd.
From the moment he took the stage, the crowd was engaged, energetic, and the entire show felt like a celebration of a career filled with songs that have become the soundtrack to so many people’s lives. The setlist, starting off with a stripped down acoustic set before segueing to a typical live performance, was the perfect mix of nostalgia and newer music, with classics that had the crowd singing along, like “Just to See You Smile,” “Where the Green Grass Grows,” “Don’t Take the Girl,” “Something Like That,” “I Like It, I Love It,” and “Live Like You Were Dying” reminding you just how many incredible songs Tim has given country music over the years.
Dallas was also treated with a very nice surprise during the acoustic portion when Tim unexpectedly sang a snippet of “McArthur.” It was an especially cool moment considering the song hasn’t been a regular part of the Pawn Shop Guitar Tour. Tim had mentioned it’s only the second time he’s played it on this tour.
Another memorable moment of the show was “Pawn Shop Guitar,” when Tim gave his personal guitar to a fan and then gave her the stage for a moment of her own. You can’t help but have a little extra appreciation for artists like Tim that go the extra mile to connect with the crowd.
Closing out the night with an encore that included “The Cowboy in Me,” “Humble and Kind,” and “Truck Yeah” was the perfect ending to an incredible Dallas show that had thousands of people singling along from start to finish.
After all these years, Tim McGraw masterfully combines nostalgia, energy, and intimate moments to produce an all-around phenomenal country concert and Dallas was lucky enough to witness it.
