Rescue dogs have been sent to help find any survivors after the earthquake in Mexico City. The 7-year-old Labrador named ‘Frida’ works for the Mexican Navy’s Canine Unit, has been searching through the concrete and rubble everyday. It comes just two weeks after she helped save 12 lives when an even bigger earthquake that hit the town Oaxaca.
Even received attention from the President of Mexico who tweeted: “This is Frida,” he wrote. “She belongs to SEMAR and has helped save 52 lives in various natural disasters at national and international levels.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that the dog’s handler, Israel Arauz Salinas, said Frida had suffered exhaustion after the search of the collapsed Enrique Rebsamen school on Wednesday, where 11 children were found alive.
