Want a request or dedication at night? I’m the guy you call, e-mail, tweet, message, etc…

I’ve been at the Wolf since September 2011.  I’m honored and humbled to be a part of a station with such a rich heritage, so many loyal listeners, and such an amazing and talented staff (that’s also REALLY fun to work and spend time with).

This is my second time living in Texas.  My wife Sharon and I moved here from Wisconsin (got here as soon as we could), LOVE the people and the weather, and plan on never leaving.

I’m originally from Pittsburgh, but between my military service in Air Force Public Affairs, and my radio career, I’ve pretty much lived all over the country, except the west coast.

My first full-time job in radio was doing middays at an all-Polka station, WIBU-AM in Poynette, Wisconsin. Part of my show meant giving the daily farm market and livestock reports (never won a Silver Sow Award).

I once had a job where I worked out of my home and was paid to listen to radio stations from all over the country and identify the songs they were playing (I’m fairly good at “Name That Tune”).  I was able to literally roll out of bed, head downstairs, grab a cup of coffee, shuffle into the spare bedroom/office and be at work each day.

While it WAS cool, it doesn’t compare with what I get to do these days; play Country music for Loyal Wolf Fans all over North Texas. I’m living a dream!

Now, back to your requests. Let me know what you want at 888-787-1995. E-mail me, bill@995thewolf.com and I’m also BillBowenRadio on Facebook and @BillBowen995 on Twitter.

Huge loss for Mansfield

Two years ago this month, loyal, generous, and loving Wolf listeners purchased specially-made T-shirts to benefit the family and expenses of Coach Maberry, Mansfield High School’s football coach for 2 decades, as he battled cancer. This morning, we mourn the loss of this coach, father, husband and leader, as Coach Maberry lost his battle with…
