Brian Moote is a radio host and stand up comedian who was raised on a farm on Whidbey Island in Washington State. Growing up, he raised pigs and rode horses in 4 H, taking his horse to the state fair numerous times for western gaming. After high school, he played basketball at the University of La Verne in California and got a degree in psychology. After graduation, Brian worked as an at risk youth kindergarten teacher in the Seattle area, started telling jokes at local open mics and also doing man on the street segments for a few local radio shows. In 2008, Brian moved to Boston to continue to pursue stand up comedy and also get a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on children and families at Boston College. After graduating from Boston College, Brian got booked on 2 seasons of the MTV prank show “Money from Strangers” and started touring nationally at comedy clubs and colleges. As a comedian, he has made TV appearances on AXS TV, Nickelodeon, the USA Network and he also taped the show “Laughs” on the Fox Network from the Hyena’s Comedy Club in Downtown Fort Worth. In 2013, Brian returned to Seattle to cohost the morning show “Click Mornings with Jackie, Marco and Moote” on 98.9 FM in Seattle, WA. From there, he went on to become a cohost on the nationally syndicated “The Bert Show” based on Q997 in Atlanta, GA, which during his tenure, was also syndicated on 102.9 NOW FM in Dallas, TX. While in Atlanta, Brian also worked with the Atlanta Hawks NBA team as a video content and social media host. In 2018, Brian left Atlanta to cohost the new morning show on 97.1 Amp Radio in Los Angeles, taking over for Carson Daly. Brian is an upbeat and fun story teller who uses his vast experiences in numerous work fields and in his own unique and adventurous life to engage listeners in a fun, memorable and thought provoking manner.
