Misery is credited to Stella Lefty, Madi Yanofsky and Phil Cook, while A Million Dreams was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. No legal action or formal plagiarism ruling has been announced.

The controversy follows earlier comparisons involving Lefty’s music. Her song Why Wouldn’t We was previously compared online with Blake Shelton’s I’ll Name The Dogs, while Boston drew attention for similarities to Noah Kahan’s Stick Season. Kahan later received a songwriting credit on Boston.

For now, the Misery dispute remains centered on listener comparisons and social media discussion, with no confirmed finding that the song infringes another work.

The statement said Cash has been temporarily advised not to travel or perform while she recovers. No further details about the nature of the medical emergency have been released.

The postponements affect concerts scheduled for September 8 in Sheridan, Wyoming, September 9 in Billings, Montana, and September 12 in Bozeman, Montana. Cash had been set to perform the dates with her husband, musician and producer John Leventhal.

Her team said she regrets having to postpone the shows and hopes to reschedule them. Ticket holders have been advised to keep their tickets while replacement dates are arranged.

Cash is currently expected to return to the stage on September 19 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The four-time Grammy winner and eldest daughter of Johnny Cash has maintained a career spanning more than four decades.

The pregnancy news arrives just over a year after Lane and Crescent married on August 31, 2025. According to Billboard, the country star will host the 60th Annual CMA Awards on November 18 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The role makes Wilson the first woman to solo-host the CMA Awards twice.

This will be Wilson’s third consecutive year as a CMA Awards host and her second year handling the ceremony on her own. She previously shared hosting duties with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning in 2024 before taking over as solo host in 2025.

The announcement was made during ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast from Louisiana State University in Wilson’s home state of Louisiana. The 12-time CMA Award winner said she was especially excited to return with this year’s show marking six decades of the CMA Awards.

The ceremony will air live on ABC and Disney+, with streaming available on Hulu the following day. The nominees for this year’s awards are scheduled to be revealed on September 10.

Her statement also raised concerns about the amount of AI-generated material, misinformation, and insensitive commentary circulating online since Dolly’s death. Stella said the constant stream of fabricated content has been difficult for the family to absorb or ignore while dealing with their loss.
