McDonalds’ dollar menu offered items like McDouble cheeseburger, or four Chicken McNuggets, McChicken Sandwich and a Large Sweet tea for $1 each. Although customers loved it, Franchise owners did not due to low profit margin. McDonald’s retired the dollar menu and experimented with other options such as 2 for $5 menu items but announced Wednesday the Dollar Menu will make a big comeback in early 2018.

The value menu will contain items costing $1, $2 and $3, according to the company. There are over 14,150 McDonald’s locations in the U.S.
