Dolly Parton released her brand-new rendition of âI Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clausâ on Sept. 14.
Penned by Tommie Connor, âI Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clausâ is featured on Dollyâs upcoming holiday album, A Holly Dolly Christmas, which drops on Oct. 2. The 12-song collection features several holiday standards, including âHolly Jolly Christmas,â âMary, Did You Know?â and more, as well as six original tunes that Dolly penned. The album also features duets with some of Dollyâs friends, including Michael BublĂ©, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon and Willie Nelson, plus a special song with her brother, Randy Parton.
Over the years, âI Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clausâ has been covered by a whoâs who of cross-genre talents, including The Jackson 5, Andy Williams, John Mellencamp, Amy Winehouse and more.
âI have always loved âI Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clausâ because itâs a song I heard growing up,â says Dolly. âI wanted to do something for the kids and I think itâs a real cute little song. I have a child-like spirit and I love everything about Christmas!â
The new record will be Dollyâs first holiday album since 1990âs Home for Christmas.
