Lauren Alaina notched two No. 1 singles in 2017 as both âRoad Less Traveledâ and âWhat Ifsââher duet with Kane Brownâreached the top of Billboardâs Country Airplay chart.
2018 has been just as bountiful for Lauren.
After earning the ACM Award for New Female Vocalist of the Year in April, Lauren is gearing up to join Jason Aldeanâs High Noon Neon Tour, which kicks off on May 10 and runs through Sept. 29. In addition, Laurenâs new single, âDoinâ Fine,â is currently No. 28 on Billboardâs Country Airplay chart, marking the third time sheâs cracked the Top 30 as a solo artist.
As the effervescent entertainer told Kix Brooks of American Country Countdown, part of her success may stem from the fact that sheâs never at a loss for words.
âThere has never been a point in my life where I was quiet,â says Lauren. âMy mom said that once I started talking, I never stopped. And I sing as much as I talk. I donât know how I donât have laryngitis all the time where Iâm just constantly losing my voice because I talk so much. I think I probably talk in my sleep. I feel confident I talk in my sleep. I donât know how my body would go without talking.â
Fortunately for Lauren, sheâs got more than 30 dates on the High Noon Neon Tour to keep crowds entertained with her singingâand talkingâvoice.
