The Wall Street Journal said BNSF Railway, based in Fort Worth, and Union Pacific Corp. in Omaha, Nebraska, are having tough time filling jobs. Demand for shipments across the country is up but unemployment is down. ( below 4%) they need workers to fill jobs.
“Hiring has become more difficult,” Amy Casas, a BNSF spokeswoman, “This year, BNSF expects to fill more than 3,500 hourly positions across our network in areas including our transportation, engineering, dispatching and mechanical crafts.”
