Jason Aldean ties his highest ever debut on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart as “How Far Does a Goodbye Go” launches at No. 19 on this week’s chart. The track was produced by Aldean’s longtime collaborator, Michael Knox, and co-written by Kurt Allison, John Edwards, Tully Kennedy, and John Morganthe. The single is a preview of Aldean’s 12th studio album, which is due in 2026. This debut matches the country star’s previous No. 19 launches with “Burnin’ It Down” (2014) and “Take a Little Ride” (2012), both of which went on to become No. 1 hits. Meanwhile, Russell Dickerson’s “Happen to Me” holds at No. 1 on Country Airplay for a second straight week, matching the longest chart reign of his career. Written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris LaCorte, and Chase McGill, the track appears on Dickerson’s fourth album, Famous Back Home, which recently debuted at No. 34 on the Top Country Albums chart. The crossover hit also remains at its No. 21 peak on Adult Pop Airplay and rises to a new best of No. 38 on Pop Airplay. (Billboard)
