Lainey Wilson will make her feature film debut in the Universal adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, Reminders of Him. The Grammy-winning country superstar will join a star-studded cast that includes Maika Monroe, Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, and Lauren Graham, with the film set to be directed by Vanessa Caswill. This won’t be Wilson’s first time acting, however, as she previously had a recurring role as Abby on Yellowstone, beginning in Season 5. Taylor Sheridan created the role specifically for Wilson after her music was featured in earlier seasons of the smash hit series. Hoover’s successful track record of book-to-film adaptations includes hits like It Ends With Us and the upcoming Verity. Reminders of Him is set to hit theaters in February 2026, and will seek to capitalize on the success of the 2022 novel which has sold over 6.5 million copies globally.
