Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan‘s Outlaw Music Festival Tour faced a setback when a storm damaged gear during a stop in Missouri, leading to the cancellation of their Oklahoma show on Tuesday (July 1). The Sunday (June 29) concert at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale was cut short due to heavy rains and high winds, forcing evacuation of concertgoers and causing water damage to artist instruments and production equipment. “The potential damage has halted the festival production as they recover and replace what’s necessary for the tour to resume,” reads an official statement by festival organizers. The tour is planning to resume on July 4 in Austin, Texas, as part of Nelson’s annual 4th of July Picnic, with a lineup including Dylan, the Avett Brothers, the Mavericks, and Asleep at the Wheel. Full refunds for the cancelled show at the Lucky Star Amphitheater in El Reno, Oklahoma, will be issued at the original point of purchase. (Billboard)
