Spencer Hatcher broke his silence six weeks after his mother, Holly Hatcher, was fatally stabbed during a home invasion in early August. In an Instagram video, the 28-year-old country singer said: “I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the love and support that you all have shown me and my family over the last month. In what has really been the worst time of our life, you all sent so many loving comments and messages and made posts and everything. We did our best to read them, but I just want you all to know how appreciative we are and I am of you all.” Hatcher went on to share his decision to continue making music and touring, as his mother would have wanted, calling her “my biggest fan and my biggest supporter in everything that I did.” Spencer said he plans to resume a previously scheduled tour lineup, honoring his mother’s excitement for his flourishing career.
