Tara and Ryan Fox have joined forces with their friends at Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer to help raise money for WOKC’s Cancer Buddy Bags!
This Holiday season Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer is having an easy, simple to use donation drive: Text-To-Donate! Now through November 27!
Thanksgiving of Hope is a way for the entire DFW community to support DFW kids with cancer and their families. The WOKC Buddy Bag has been described as “the only good thing that happens to a family when the cancer diagnosis is confirmed.” This bag is strategically filled with hygienic, comfort, and entertainment items designed to ease the typically unexpected transition from home to hospital. Each bag contains 32 items, including an iPad that allows the patient to keep up with schoolwork, Facetime with friends and family members, and download entertainment to watch during cancer treatments. Your donation will ensure every DFW child admitted for an overnight stay in a WOKC partner hospital (Cook Children’s Hospital – Fort Worth & Prosper, Children’s Hospital – Dallas & Plano, and Medical City Children’s) will have a Buddy Bag waiting for them and their family.
The Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer Impact, There’s nothing scarier than hearing, “Your child has cancer.”
Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children. In America, 45 children are diagnosed daily. Even though 7 out of 8 kids survive, 66% of those who do have long-term chronic health issues throughout the rest of their lives. Think about that!
We lose more children to cancer than AIDS, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, and asthma combined. CLICK HERE to donate now.
