From NWS Fort Worth
“During the late Friday night – early Saturday morning time period, the best severe storm threat will reside west of the I-35 corridor. The main storm hazard will be large hail. Strong to near severe caliber storms are forecast east of this area with hail being the primary hazard. Through Saturday morning into the early afternoon hours, the risk for strong to severe storms will shift eastward. The most likely areas for severe storms will be across the Brazos Valley where a potential for damaging winds and tornadoes will accompany storms near and south of a warm front. The severe storm threat, while lower, also exists in the areas shaded in yellow.”
